To students whose mother or father is an SSCT member:

The SSCT is offering three undergraduate scholarships of $1000, two for students majoring in science and a third one for a student in any major (or who has not decided upon a major). The students must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university and have completed at least one semester by the application deadline of February 1, 2012 . The scholarship is not limited to freshman, however, it is the intent of the SSCT Board of Directors to continue to fund the scholarship to students as they progress through the four years of most undergraduate curricula.

As indicated on the application form, you must submit a completed application, a copy of all college or university transcripts and a written statement with background and career goal information.

For your information, colleges and universities have financial aid or financial assistance offices whose web sites list other scholarships available. As deadlines come and go, scholarships are added and removed from the listings, so students are encouraged to check the websites regularly.
